You must love to give hugs, hold a crying toddler, get a dental inspection by a two-year-old, have pretend-conversation “on the phone” into a block, and most of all, eat pretend-food like a champ!
You must be able to sing “Let it Go”, “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”, and any other songs requested by the children. Your tune is not important, your performance is everything!
You must be able to see and count a sea of moving heads instantaneously and locate anyone playing hide and seek by themselves (or with an imaginary friend).
You must be able to read a story while one child crawls in your lap, another tries to grab the book, and another one is telling you a completely different story.
The ability to read in different voices is a major bonus as it will keep them engaged long enough for your co-educator to get diaper changes done!
You must be comfortable navigating on the floor, sitting on a chair that is a foot off the ground, crawling through a tunnel to save a scared child, and of course, using tot-sized toys!
Ideally, we are seeking candidates with coursework or degrees in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Child care experience is also a valuable asset. However, we want to have the best team for our program and will to train those without formal education in this field. People who have a love of learning and spending time with children.
We appreciate our educators and know they are a huge part of why our families love us. We award the Educator of the Month to those who go above and beyond their daily duties. We like to celebrate their work anniversaries, birthdays and special holidays. We also provide on-going professional development for our educators.
